Wise Builders
Jesus said:
"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be likened to a wise man, who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, because it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be likened to a foolish man who built his house on the rock. The sand, and the rain fell, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and beat against that house, and it fell; and its fall was great." (Matthew 7:24-27)
Many people hear about Jesus
But the Lord said, "Whoever hears these words of mine and does them
The Lord is looking for people who build their house on the rock
Meaning, they hear the word of the Lord, understand it, and do it.
That is, they use it as a spiritual weapon in all life situations.
The Lord did not promise us a peaceful life without trials, tribulations and hardships.
"These things have I spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
The Lord warned us that whoever hears, understands and acts on His words, he builds his spiritual house on the rock.
The rock is Jesus Christ.
The rock is faith in His word.
No matter what difficulties and problems come upon this house (the house that is meant by us is our spiritual house), it will remain firm because it is built on the rock. Its foundation is deep and firm and cannot be shaken because it is built on the living word.
"For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart."(Hebrews 4:12).
The Lord will be inside this house, and if we feel that He has left us and is not present, He will come at the last hour. We only have to keep His words, act upon them, and be steadfast.
Jesus said to the disciples:
"And teach them to observe all that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age..." (Matthew 28:20)
As for the person who builds his house on sand, this house will not stand. It will collapse because it does not have a strong foundation.
When the storms of life come upon this house, it will be shaken and collapse because it does not have a firm foundation.
Because the house built on a shaky foundation and misleading teachings, the spirits of fear, distress and sadness will come upon the house and will lose true joy and peace. A person will live in a fake way, and he may appear to be fine on the outside, but on the inside he is a bent, broken, shaken and unstable person.
Our Heavenly Father
I need you to build my spiritual house
Help me, Holy Spirit of God, to hear, understand and act on your word, O Lord
Help me to be one of the wise builders
Help me to know you, Jesus, and to know the power of your word in my life.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." (Psalm 127:1).
Good morning to you with the light of Christ
